ANCHORED TO THE OCEAN

The brand was born in 2009 on the northern German coast from the dream of making the love for the oceans wearable for everyone. With their special mix of iconic design and northern German minimalism, the brand is working day by day to make the beauty of our oceans accessible to everyone

PH OCEAN PROJECTS

Oceans and waters cover more than 70% of our planet, making them a fundamental building block of the global ecosystem. They are home to a huge diversity of species. Without them, life on this planet in its current form would be impossible. In addition to their importance for biodiversity, the oceans also make an important contribution to nutrition. For about a third of humanity, fishing is an important source of income and food. The oceans are equally important for regulating our climate. Besides absorbing CO2 emissions, the oceans absorb much of the additional heat caused by the (anthropogenic) greenhouse effect. In summary, the oceans are the basis of life for many people, animals and especially for the ecosystem Earth. Therefore, PAUL HEWITT wants to make a contribution to the protection and preservation of the blue lungs and have therefore decided to actively invest in marine protection projects as well as to initiate own projects in the future.

MARINIUM® OCEAN STEEL

Introducing MARINI UM® Ocean Steel, stainless steel that is fully recycled and meets the highest quality standards (316L surgical steel). The objective behind MARINI UM® Ocean Steel is to make the previously non- transparent shipbreaking industry more transparent and to obtain stainless steel entirely from old, discarded ships. Already today, MARINIUM® Ocean Steel is 100% recycled stainless steel - but still from different sources. MARINI UM® helps to reduce the CO2 emissions of products by more than 60% and is therefore a key driver in reducing our carbon footprint. In addition, PAUL HEWITT invests part of the MARINI UM® proceeds in projects to protect and preserve our oceans, coasts and waters.

SOLAR POWER

The sun - the energy that powers our world and, in the future, all PAUL HEWITT watches. The solar cell in the dial converts the incident light into the required energy. And if there is no light available? No problem because their watches run and run and run. With up to 6 months of dark power reserve, no adventure will stop you.

RECYCLED PLASTIC

PAUL HEWITT uses only recycled polyester (rPET) instead of virgin polyester for all new products from fall 2022 onwards, so that bracelets and accessories will be more durable, robust and, above all, sustainable. Indeed, the production of recycled polyester is significantly more energy efficient and has the advantage of reusing plastic that has already been produced.
